I opened up my computer today and I happened to glance at the “word of the day” from the online dictionary. The word today happened to be, Augean [ aw-jee–uhn ] meaning difficult or unpleasant. I took a moment and read about the origin or this word. The derivative augḗeis actually means “bright-eyed, clear-sighted,” and augḗ means “light of the sun, ray, beam. How is it that a word (derivative), with such positivity and hopefulness, can be conformed into a word that is such the contrary?

This thought process resonates so loudly with me and with everything that has developed over the past few months. With so much negativity arising in the world I find myself craving more and more moments that promote those augḗ vibes. Those augean moments have been challenging me to continue to search for the joy and light that I know can come from them.

So in the spirit of being a beam of light I wanted to share just a few of my favorite good vibe activities I have been able to shift my focus on in the more recent months due to the endless COVID-19 changes that are affecting my life.
