It is amazing how important first impressions are when beginning a new job. The staff have already impressed me with their kind-hearted, welcoming nature and willingness to help. My first week of orientation at Lankenau Medical Center was similar to the previous hospitals I have traveled in regards to training. The initial period at a new job is always filled with opportunities to learn about the facility, locals suggestions for restaurants and bars, tourist traps that should be avoided, and must-do’s while in the area. Taking advantage of this time helps develop that initial bond with coworkers by engaging in conversation surrounding non-work activities. The city of “brotherly love” is already looking promising and I cannot wait to see what it has in store!
